Anthony Lewis Skeptical about Strong Shield Law
Anthony Lewis, Pulitzer Prize winning journalist is hesitant to support strong legislation shielding reporters from demands to reveal their sources. Once a regular columnist for the New York Times, he returned on March 7, 2007 to discuss shield laws in light of recent events. The column, entitled, “Not All Sources are Equal” sees danger in absolute rights for reporters who might protect a criminal.
