Norman Sims is a professor of Journalism at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, the editor of The Literary Journalists (1984) and Literary Journalism in the Twentieth Century (1990), and the co-editor with Mark Kramer of Literary Journalism (1995). In fall 2007 his new book, True Stories: A Century of Literary Journalism, will be published by Northwestern University Press. He teaches Freedom of the Press, History of American Journalism, Literary Journalism, Introduction to Nonfiction Writing, and Newswriting.
